Does Your Pet’s Breath Smell Funky? Read This!

If you’re like me, you love it when your dog or cat is overly happy to see you, jumping around with excitement and begging for your attention…and for food, of course. But if your furry friend has a less-than-fresh breath, you might be less inclined to let them greet you with a licking frenzy, the stink may be too much to handle. After all, good oral hygiene is equally important in pet’s as it is humans, and neglect can lead to the development of problems that are much more serious than smelly saliva and bad breath. When your pet’s breath starts smelling so stinky you can’t put it off any longer, try an all-natural intervention with  pure, cold-pressed organic coconut oil!

In addition to providing a dense concentration of healthy fats that promote resilient skin, radiant coat and increased energy, coconut oil also has powerful antibacterial and antifungal properties. The miraculous superfood actually has the unique ability to kill harmful bacteria while leaving beneficial bacteria untouched, making it an ideal choice for preventing infection. On top of all that, most dogs and cats go crazy over the sweet, creamy richness of  pure coconut oil.

TIP: Start off by putting a spoonful of coconut oil (usually solid at room temperature, so it’s easy to scoop) on top of your pet’s usual food – you’ll be amazed at how quickly this simple dietary addition can combat bad breath and improve overall oral hygiene. Also, feel free to rub a liberal amount into your hands and massage it into your pet’s fur and skin, allowing it to absorb as deeply as possible. Don’t be surprised if they can’t help themselves and start frantically licking your fingers, this is great since the more you can get directly in their mouth, the better!
