The Ideal Diet
(veterinarian recommended)
Dogs and cats evolved eating uncooked food, mostly meat, no grains. That is a fact. Pet food companies have convinced us that the only way our pets can stay healthy is by feeding them the convenient “balanced diet” that they themselves manufacture – Dry food made mostly from cheap filler grains and questionable protein sources.
Of course, many of us don't have the time to prepare our own meals, let alone meals for our pets! Still, it is definitely worth reading the following information to better understand how we can improve our pet’s lives with proper nutrition. Just adding good supplements and a raw chicken wing now and then can make a world of difference!
Your pet will be much, much healthier by eating a simple, inexpensive diet that you can prepare at home in 5 minutes! Along with the correct supplements, there is nothing made commercially that has the same nutritional value.
We recommend using 70% ground protein (chicken, turkey, beef, lamb, venison or fish) along with 30% ground veggies (carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, etc.) for dogs. Make it 85%-15% for cats. Mix in Dr. Goodpet’s powdered vitamin/minerals like Maximum Protection Formula or Golden Age – add some Bena Fish Oil or Pure Virgin Coconut Oil and Canine or Feline digestive enzymes (a pinch of extra vitamin C is always good, as are probiotics) and you have the ideal diet for dogs and cats. It’s that easy!
We like to use UNCOOKED raw chicken/turkey wings, necks and backs as special treats a few times a week because our dogs and cats love the crunch (they MUST be raw, otherwise they can splinter and cause problems) and it’s great for their teeth!
Be good to your pet!
